Photo album with 70 sheets and as many prints. The band back and corner pieces are made of green linen. Front and rear cover have a marbled motif, as well as the bracts. On the backband is a sticker with the number '23' pasted. The album contains photographs of monuments in France: cathedrals (including those of Rouen, Chartres and Reims), castles (including those of Blois, Chambord and Pierrefonds), town halls (La Rochelle, Compiègne), a palace of justice (Rouen), a hospital (Beaune), city palaces (Hôtel de Bourgtheroulde in Rouen, Hôtel de Cluny in Paris), etc. Most of the photographs were made by Médéric Mieusement (1840-1905), a Frenchman who, since 1873, as an itinerant photographer, recorded historical monuments on behalf of the Commission des Monuments Historiques. In addition, there are some recordings of Paul Robert (1865-1898), to whom Mieusement did his work for. the Commission in 1890 handed over.
