Photo reproduction of painting by Dirck van Delen van de Ridderzaal during the First Great Assembly, 1651, Franz Seraph Hanfstaengl, 1850 - 1877 Canvas Print

Painting of the interior of the main hall on the Binnenhof, the Ridderzaal, in The Hague, during the First Great Assembly of the States General. Meeting held in the Ridderzaal from 18 to 21 January 1651, convened after the death of Prince William II on 6 November 1650. From the ceiling hang on the enemy captured flags and banners. A metal flap is attached to the painting. In this photo, the flap is opened so that the large meeting is visible. In the foreground is a table with books, an hourglass and an ink set. On the table a rug with the saying 'Concordia res parvae crescunt'. Photo pasted on a cardboard with the names of the makers, collection (Das Königliche Museum in Haag), etc. Probably part of a series of photographs (no. 40) of paintings in the Mauritshuis in The Hague.
