Piece of sheet of the uniform skirt of J.C.J. van Speyk with attached certificates of origin. Handwritten statement between pencil lines on thin parchment. At the bottom left a wax seal on a round piece of cardboard, printed with a laurel wreath. This hangs on a faded pink silk ribbon. In the middle left a rectangular piece of red cardboard, stitched to the parchment; on the cardboard a piece of blue sheet stitched and a red seal stamp identical to the other seal: a crowned and helmeted coat of arms flanked by two standing men in armor. At the top right of the parchment two ink stamps of Utrecht and one of the Kingdom of the Netherlands. Inscription: The under-signified stated that he stained the piece of Cloth with blood that he sent as a gift (......).
