On the left is Hercules or the personification in force. On the right is the personification of painting. Both figures pull the hair of Fortuna, who sits on top of a globe. She's holding a bulging sail. On either side of her men's torsos and putti with writing or drawing utensils. Painting supplies hang on the left and right. Underneath the portrait a cartouche with a representation of Hercules at the crossroads(?) in a round medallion.
