The set figure is depicted up to the waist. He looks straight ahead and holds the left hand in front of the chest. The hair curls hang down to the shoulders. He wears a col rabat, a doublet and a cloak, which is struck both to the left and to the right in front of the waist. From the cloak protrudes the left hand, whose thumb and forefinger play with the akers of the col rabat; at the wrist a knocked back cuff. The half-figure turns into a quadrilateral plinth, on which a cartouche with inscription. The frame of this consists of a wreath of oak leaves and acorns, in which a palm branch protrudes on either side. The inscription: IOANES MUNTER CONSULES AMSTELD. AETATIS SUAE LXIII. In the left corner at the front of the plinth: B. EGGERS FECIT, in the right: ANNO 1673.
