Room 167 seen to the southeast. The room during the furnishing of the Dutch history department at sea with the theme of ships and ship company. On the ground is a ship model and on tables there are all kinds of things for the exhibition. The passage leads to the Aduard Chapel in room 168. The room will be redecorated after all wall and vault paintings have been concealed with the white brush; for the painted condition, see fig. 459. The original mosaic floor is covered with linoleum, or may have been removed. The column is a copy of one of the columns in the St Lambertuskerk in Wouw (1414). The paintings on the south wall, copied from the Predikherenklooster in Maastricht, have disappeared under a white layer of paint, as well as the vault paintings, taken from motifs of various churches (St Maartenskerk in Venlo, Jacobikerk in Utrecht, St Nicolaaskerk in Kampen and the parish church in Blitterwijk.
