Repeating Swivel Gun, James Chambers (possibly), James Haslett, c. 1812 - c. 1815 Canvas Print
Seven-barreled preload flint gun on a mik on a ground shelf, with prime, gunpowder size and iron loading stick. The runs, caliber 14.8 mm, are mounted in a bundle of six outer runs around a middle barrel bound together by brass bands and with bolts at the rear on a bumper plate. A guidebar is mounted in the middle of the impact plate. The flint lock, signed Haslett, is placed on the left and is fired with a trigger rope. The spark enters the first barrel via the pan and is transmitted via connecting channels in a central distribution plate to the other walk. It continues to work according to the principle of the roman candle: in each barrel there are seven consecutive loads, the bullets of which are pierced to transmit the spark backwards. For example, 49 bullets are fired in a salvo, with the bullets of each barrel being fired successively by the time the gunpowder takes to pass the spark through the bullet. The iron charging stick has a shell on the side that indicates the correct position of each load.
