Ring with a flintlock, anonymous, 1650 - 1670 Canvas Print
Between two pieces of sharpened rock crystal a small flint lock is clamped. The whole is mounted in a steel setting. The setting has a recess at the tail and on top of the rooster. This recess extends quite far forward and has a round notch approximately at the level of the steel spring. The finishing of the lock mechanism is done very carefully. Parts of the lock plate are blued and there is a small piece of flint clamped in the rooster.
