A smooth thread indicates the transition from the trunk to the calyx. On the chalice is the crowned coat of arms of Prince Maurice, his motto 'Je Maintiendraey Nassau' and the year 1608 engraved. Under its coat of arms a branch with two orange apples. To the right of Maurice's coat of arms is the crowned coat of arms of Philip William, surrounded by the chain of the order of the Golden Fleece. This is followed by four weapons crowned with a ducal hat with the corresponding name under the coat of arms: brabant, Limburch, Luisemborch and geldria; seven coats of arms crowned with a crown of counts: Artoos, Henegou, Holant, Zeelant, Namen vlaender and Zutphen; six coats of arms crowned with a laurel wreath: vrisland, valckemborch, Mechelen, Utrecht, Overisel and Groeninge. Under the coats of arms are three branches with three orange apples each and again the year 1608 engraved. In the soil, the letters B G are scratched.
