Two wall display cases in which Delft earthenware is set up. On the right a door to room 255. World-renowned is the so-called Delft Blue. This, and the Delft polychrome (multicolored), can be found in the inspection collection, which is brought together in the following three rooms (255 to 257). The manufacture of this pottery began in the middle of the 17th century, following the precious Chinese porcelain. Modernization and redevelopment of approximately 60 rooms, led by Prof. F.A. Eschauzier and Bart Kasteel. It concerned the rooms sculpture/applied arts (XVIII), study collection, exhibition Rijksprentenkabinet and public restaurant with kitchen.
