Dish of porcelain with round wall, painted in underglaze blue and on the glaze blue, red, green, yellow, eggplant, black and gold. On the shelf in a medallion three musicing women in a fenced garden; around this medallion differently shaped cartouches with scenes from the Xiyou Ji, 'The Journey to the West', against a ground of napkin work; the edge with flower rosettes in a cartouche with a ruyi motif on either side interspersed with different geometric patterns. The back with three flower branches. Marked on the underside with an artemisia leaf in a double circle. A chip and two cracks in the rim. Old label on the underside with 'A. Staal Antiquaire/ Rokin 156/ Amsterdam'. Famille far.
