Shield, anonymous, 1474 - 1475 Canvas Print
Elongated spherical shield with round top edge, running down to a truncated point above which two holes. The unpainted inside is equipped with four attachment points for leather straps; in the middle a diamond pattern of tacks, probably to attach a leather cushion. The front is painted with black leaf vines and flowers on a red long distance, framed by a yellow-black border. In the middle a coat of arms with three crowns (Cologne). At the tip at the bottom and in the Cologne coat of arms, parts of the underlying paint layer have been released.
