The shelling of Augsburg by the French and Bavarians on December 7, 1703; the city was taken on December 15. The city was abandoned by the French on August 16, 1704 and re-taken by the Allies. Depicting the shelling of the city in a richly decorated ornament frame with a map of the city at the top. At the bottom a cartouche with a description of the battle in German with left and right chained enemy prisoners. In the left edge ornaments and figures related to Victory, those on the right side to the Defeat. Sheet in the bound collection of plates released under the title: Repraesentatio belli ...
