Sketchbook consisting of 58 sheets with architectural studies in Amsterdam, Uelzen, Naarden, Baarn, Amersfoort, Utrecht, Rotterdam, Gouda, Zwolle, Alkmaar, Bergen, Hoorn, Arnay-le-Duc, Berlin and Bommel, among others. Two documents are also attached to the sketchbook: an extract from the birth register of Amsterdam with the declaration of the birth of the artist and a letter from Prince Hendrik of the Netherlands with the appointment of Isaac Gosschalk as a member of the jury of the International Horticultural Exhibition in 1877. Also a list with notes by J.H. Gosschalk in The Hague with selected works for an exhibition about brick construction in the nineteenth century.
