A soldier, at his feet, to the right, holding a musket (a certain type of firearm) with his right hand, pointing the barrel upwards, before placing the weapon on his left shoulder (no. 32), ca. 1600. In his outstretched left hand a burning fuse; on his left wrist a furket (musket fork). Plate 32 in the instructions for handling the musket: Corte onderrechtinghe on the figuerliicke afbeeldinghe, so much aengaet the right ghebruyck vant Musquet.
