A soldier, at his feet, to the right, holding a musket (a certain type of firearm) with his left hand, after firing, directed the barrel diagonally upwards to prevent him from unintentionally injuring a companion. In his left hand, in addition to the rudder, there is also a burning fuse. With his right hand he pulls the furket (the musket fork) out from under the barrel. This print is part of the series of 43 hand-numbered prints of musketeers in the Wapenhandelinghe.
