A soldier on guard, at his feet, to the right, who takes a musket (a certain type of firearm) from his left shoulder with his right hand (no. 35), ca. 1600. In his left hand, in addition to the flask of the musket, also a furket (musket fork) and a burning fuse. It is therefore the same position as the one shown on the third print of the series. Plate 35 in the instructions for handling the musket: Corte onderrechtinghe op de figuerlicke afbeeldinghe, so much aengaet the right ghebruyck of Musquet.
