A soldier on guard, at his feet, to the right, holding a rudder (a certain type of firearm) with his left hand (no. 40), ca. 1600. With his right hand he presses a burning fuse on the rooster (part of the ignition mechanism) of his rudder. So it's the same position as the one shown on the seventh print of the series.
