A soldier, feet out, to the right, seen on the back, holding a musket (a certain type of firearm) with his left hand by his left thigh. In his left hand in addition to the musket also a fuse; on his left wrist a furket (musket fork). With his right hand, he pours gunpowder from a powder buddy into the barrel, which points upwards at an angle. Printed on back with text in French.
