A soldier, at his feet, to the right, holding a rudder (a certain type of firearm) with his left hand (no. 8), ca. 1600. With his thumb and middle finger of his right hand, he gives the burning fuse on the rooster (part of the ignition mechanism) of his rudder the right place and shape.
