A soldier, feet out, to the right, holding a musket (a certain type of firearm) with his left hand by his left thigh and bringing his right hand to the end of his charging stick, which he has supported against his right side (no. 29), c. 1600. In his left hand in addition to the musket also a fuse; on his left wrist a furket (musket fork). Plate 29 in the instructions for handling the musket: Corte subrechtinghe on the figuerlicke imagehe, so much aengaet the right ghebruyck of Musquet.
