Against a black background, a warrior with a bow, sitting on a rock, is depicted. Next to it a woman with long hair. The woman is Tamamo no Mae ( the jewel girl). She is possessed by a fox but is so beautiful that she became the lover of Emperor Toba (1103-1156). When the emperor fell ill, the blame was placed on her, after which she fled the palace. Eventually she was shot by a hunter and turned into a rock. With three poems.
