Jug (schnelle) of stoneware with cylindrical, tapered body and C-shaped ear. Profiles below the edge and above the foot. Covered with a brown engobe. On the obverse of the embossed jug a printed and imposed medallion containing a 16th century dressed man (warlord?) with a lance and purse. Around him the inscription 'ICH BIN EIN HELT ICH HAP DEN BAIDE[l] ZANDE[r] GELT'. The edge lettering reads 'GELDRIOS:BIN:ICH/ ALTOS:ALSO:MOETEN/ SEI:WEISSEN:DEI:DIT/ LEISSEN:1585:G:F'. Raeren.
