Jug (schnelle) of stoneware with a cylindrical, slightly tapered body and C-shaped ear. Profiles above the foot and below the edge. On the embossed body three times a printed and imposed, elongated box with in the middle the coat of arms of Hamburg with the inscription 'HAMBVRGENS' and '1591'. Below is a coat of arms with a castle, carried by two lions. On either side of this the coat of arms of Lübeck with the inscription 'LVBICENSIS', '1591' and the signature 'H.H.'. Below is a coat of arms with John the Baptist, carried by two naked men. Above each box a human figure surrounded by flower vines. Siegburg.
