Prince Diponegoro is handed over to Major François de Stuers, 28 March 1830, after he was arrested by Lieutenant-General Hendrik Merkus de Kock. The arrest took place shortly before in the official residence of the Resident of Kedu in Magelang (Central Java), on the right side of the performance. On the left the Dutch soldiers and the carriage with which the prince will be taken away under the escort of Major De Stuers. In the foreground left the followers of the prince, their weapons lie on the ground.
