The yield of the English admiral ship the 'Royal Charles', captured during the Voyage to Chatham, June 1667. The ship lies off the coast, in the foreground a sloop, on the right in the distance a warship of the Admiralty of the Maze. On the left in the distance you can see the entrance to the port of Hellevoetsluis. In the lower left corner a piece of paper with inscription is painted in which the history of the nave is described and the painting is dedicated to Cornelis de Witt, who together with De Ruyter undertook the Journey to Chatham.
