According to the accompanying text on pp. 12 and 13 of the second Cahier: top left: hat of tulle, 'à la Jannette'. Fichu of 'gaze d'Italie', 'à la Henri IV', buttoned up with a pink ribbon. Gown of green satin or 'satin gros vert'. The earrings are 'plaques'. Top right: hat 'à la Marlborough', on which two white feathers and one purple feather; decorated with blue ribbons. Fichu of 'gaze d'Italie', 'à la Henri IV'. Gown of pink satin. Bottom left: Hat 'à la figaro' of 'gaze d'Italie', on which a white and purple feather. In the middle a band of black velvet decorated with white pearls. Two brushes(?) of pearls hang on the left. The earrings are smooth rings. Fichu of plain tulle. Gown of blue satin, tied with a wide purple ribbon trimmed with white. Bottom right: hat of 'jonc' ('jonc de mer' or seagrass?), with a high shape, trimmed with a wide purple ribbon; decorated with two bows, the ends of which hang on the back. Fichu of plain linen, 'à la Henri IV'. Gown of purple satin or 'satin gros violet'. The earrings are rings with pearls. The print is part of the 2nd Cahier from the Cabinet des Modes ou les Modes Nouvelles. The series consists of 72 fashion prints, published by Buisson, Paris, November 15, 1785 - November 1, 1786.
