Francesco Algarotti (1712-1764) was an art patron and patron, scientist and theorist. When he was ill and felt his death approaching, he commissioned his friend Mauro Tesi to design a funerary monument for him. The architect Carlo Bianconi was asked to carry out the design. It was founded in the Camposanto in Pisa where it is still located. On the print it is admired by a group of ladies and gentlemen. On the steps of the monument a beggar.
