Large fireworks at the end of the world exhibition in Amsterdam in 1895. From the sky, a bevy of devils watches as Mr. N.A. Calisch is lifted into the air by two devils to receive a knight's cross, firemen bring the deficit of 100,000 guilders to safety and an elephant blows the story out. At the bottom a subtitle and a two-line verse. Published in the insert of 'De Kroniek' of 13 October 1895.
