In a circular medallion, the centennial monkey Songoku is depicted blowing away his out-of-the-way hairs, which then turn into an army of monkeys. In the silver background around the medallion, a pattern of monkey dolls is incorporated. This print is a calendar sheet (egoyomi) for the year of the monkey, 1836. The short months are processed in the folds of the monkey's robe. With two anonymous poems.
