View of the sultan's palace of Morocco in Marrakesh, at the time of the visit by the envoy on a trade mission on behalf of the States-General led by Antonius de Liedekercke, from November 1640 to April 1641. The palace (probably the el-badi palace) of the sultan Mohammed esh Sheikh es Seghir (referred to on the print as Muley Hamet). First record in an unassembled ensemble consisting of five prints and 4 text sheets. At the top a cartouche with an Arabic inscription and a banderol with part of the title; in the foreground members of the local population.
