In the trees several snakes with feminist works in the mouth, including the feminist novel from 1897 'Hilda van Suylenburg' (written by Cécile de Jong van Beek and Donk) and 'De Naaistersbode', the official organ of the Algemeene Nederlandsche Naaistersbond (ANNB). In the foreground a reading monkey immersed in 'The One Necessary Book'.
