View of the stage of the Amsterdam Theatre on the Keizersgracht. This city theatre was designed by Jacob van Campen and was built on the site of the Lower German Academy of Samuel Coster (at the height of the current Keizersgracht 384). The opening was on December 26, 1637. In 1665 the building was radically renovated and in 1772 it burned down. On verso Dutch text.
