Three Models of Fuses, anonymous, c. 1850 - c. 1860 Canvas Print
Three models of wooden tubes for grenades of different calibre. Two are conical wooden tubes with a hollow bowl at the top, in which the rolled fuse was laid; This couple's long tube is not completely pierced. The third model has a convex top, closed with a wooden prop. Around the head runs a groove and a hole is drilled right through the tube: from this the fuse is led out and placed around the groove. A fourth model, an English metal tube from 1860, is missing.
