Track silk with design of pouring and winch playing satyrs, anonymous, c. 1900 - c. 1914 Canvas Print

Track silk with pattern on cream long distance of in rows of staggered blue plaques with a red and yellow inner frame. Inside, in rows, alternately around and from direction, a satyr is displayed in red, pouring wine in a wine bowl and a satyr playing on a winch. Between the plaques, a pseudo-Etruscan ornament is displayed in red, blue and yellow in the long distance. Comment: the design is related to elements from Dugourc's Etruscan decorative schemes for the Spanish court, in particular the silk fabrics, performed by Pernon in 1797 in front of the ballroom of the Casitia del Labrador in Arnajuez, on which dancing satyrs appear.
