View from the coast by a kind of stone portal or triumphal arch on the battle between the Dutch and English ships during the battle of The Dogger Bank on 5 August 1781 between the Dutch fleet under Rear Admiral Johan Zoutman and the English fleet under Vice-Admiral Hyde Parker. On the building are three vases, further decorated with Dutch flags and ship's attributes hanging on a line. Also on the beach all kinds of attributes, on the right a man with two cannons. On the sheet under the plate a description of the fight in two columns. Below it is a schematic map of fillets with the battle orders of the fleets with explanations.
