Middle plate of five plates of 'Triumphal March of William of Orange' with emblematic representations of the virtues of Prince William of Orange, consisting of: the Christian Virtues, the government vices and the martial virtues. This print focuses on the Christian Virtues and the Government Virtues. On the left (below the C) an elephant with on its back the personification of Charity with two children with her, one of the Christian Virtues. Around the elephant fly putti and run other personifications of virtues associated with the faith, such as Meekness (15) and Mercy (16). In addition, soldiers and personifications of the Virtues such as Wisdom (20), Justice (21) and Mildness (23) walk around. Above these virtues fly three angels who scatter flowers and hold laurel wreaths. At the top of the middle the title of the print and below the image a four-line Dutch verse. The personifications are provided with a number, the statement of which is in Latin above the image and in Dutch below the image.
