Two men in historical costume. The man on the left may be Mr. Deminière, the French ballet master or court dancer at the royal court, the man on the right as an Oriental warrior with a crooked sword in hand and three pistols under his belt. Costumes worn at the costumed ball held in The Hague on 17 and 19 February 1841 at the 25th wedding anniversary of King William II and Anna Paulowna. Records to some of these performances appear in an album about this ball.
