Two salt shakeers, René Boyvin (possibly), 1542 - 1580 Canvas Print
The trunk of the left vessel consists of a couple who make love, seated on a pedestal. At the top is Cybele, surrounded by animals with a baby on her breasts. She holds the actual salt vessel on her lap. The trunk of the right salt shaker is decorated with rollers in which two tritons are caught blowing on a shell. At the top, Neptune sits on his car that has the shape of a shell. In it is the real salt vessel.
