Vase, anonymous, c. 1850 - in or before 1878 Canvas Print
Large vase of porcelain with a slightly convex body, long, trumpet-shaped neck and folded, lobed edge. Painted on the glaze in blue, red, green, yellow, eggplant, black and gold. On the wall a continuous landscape with different people: a depiction of 'the three combined religions' with three figures around a large vase, one has a bowl in his hand, the other makes a retancing gesture, next to it a servant with a bowl. The other side of the vase with Zhang Guolao, one of the Eight Immortals, with next to him a woman, probably Ma Gu, on his easel; behind them a man with books, rollers and a sword on a stick on his shoulders. On the neck two scenes: three boys playing with Budai and one of the Eight Immortals Lie Tieguai with a servant; in between twice a modelled shishi (lion dog) with a young. The shoulder with a band with flower vines on red frogril interrupted by lobed cartouches with lucky objects. On the tape four times a modelled, hornless dragon (chilong). Around the foot a decorative band; on the inner edge three times a lotus branch. The performance is mirrored compared to AK-VBR-491. Famille verte.
