Verklaringe van de arminiaensche schans tot Leyden, Johannes Tangena (16th and 17th centuries) (attributed to), 1618 Canvas Print

Text sheet associated with the representation of the Arminian ramp in Leiden. The ramp was erected on 5 October 1617 in the Breestraat near the town hall to protect the Remonstrant-minded midship and hostages. The magazine belongs to the reissue of the print, which appeared with the name of the publisher and the date 1618. The Dutch caption is printed over three columns and gives a description of the events until 20 October 1618 when the ramp was demolished and an explanation of the letters in the representation (see RP-P-OB-77.267).
