Vices of young people, Gaspar Bouttats, 1650 - 1695 Canvas Print
The print, probably an illustration of a book (p. 378 of part 1), shows a street view of a city, divided into several compartments. Each of the compartments contains scenes of fornication. In the foreground on the left a room where people are shouting and drinking. The table has fallen over and one of the men present vomits over another man. At the back left a house with two floors. On the top floor, a young man is booed and on the lower floor a loan is paid off. In the street, a man on horseback drives past another man who pulls up his pants. The rider holds a handkerchief over his mouth. Behind them, three vagrants and two fighting beggars talk. In the background on the right a prison. In the background, someone jumps off a balcony.
