View from the room of the KOG on the Night Watch Room in 1923, 1923 Canvas Print
Oud-Hollandsche Regentenkamer seen to the east with a view to the Night Watch Room. The wall of this room is decorated with old woven wallpaper carpets and some regency pieces. To the left of the passageway hangs a clock. Above the passageway it says 'Kon. Antiquities Society'. The hall, illuminated from the western courtyard, was timbered as the XVIIe century Dutch Regent's Room with fragments from that time. A ceiling painting by Gerard de Lairesse, like the fireplace, came from the Leprozenhuis in Amsterdam. (De Stuers p. 40) Wooden cassette ceiling, consisting of edge beams and four cutting mock beams. In the years 1923/24 the hall was modernized.
