View of cabinet 231 from the gallery of honour in 1958, 1958 Canvas Print
From the gallery of honour view of cabinet 231 where paintings of foreign schools can be seen. Large painting in the middle 'Christ and the Adulterous Woman' by Tintoretto and to the right of it the portrait of a clergyman. Cabinet 231 of the gallery of honour before the renovation that will take place in this year. The gallery was redesigned in 1951 to the design of F.A. Eschauzier. The passageways to the cabinets were then reduced by hanging curtains. The display cases were replaced by low benches. In this year ('58) these banks will be removed. The columns, the frieze and the vaulted degrees are decorated with decoration paintings. There's parquet on the floor. In this year, the middle floor was also lowered, creating a level difference between the middle floor and the cabinets.
