The city was captured by a Dutch fleet of the WIC under the command of Cornelis Cornelisz Jol, alias Houtebeen on 24 August 1641. Off the coast several Dutch ships. In the air a winged banderol with the title decorated with two smoke horns, flags and a laurel wreath. In the caption the statement of the letters G-M in Latin.
