Wartime in Holland, Hans Heinemann, anonymous, 1940 - 1945 Canvas Print
Photo album in band lined with fabric in brown and orange and closing belt. Assembled by a member of a Flak Regiment of the Luftverteidigungskommando of the Luftwaffe. Wachtmeister Hans Heinemann (see photos of the compiler on pages 1 and 8). The album contains 24 sheets of brown paper with a total of 148 photographs, a newspaper clipping and a theatre programme. The photos mainly show images of the destroyed Rotterdam, oil tanks on fire and destroyed ships. In addition, photos of the position near the coast where Heinemann was stationed. Many of the photos have inscriptions. The album contains 6 documents relating to leave and travel of Heinemann back to Germany in January-March 1945 and two newspaper clippings.
