Wedding dress with puffed sleeves, anonymous, 1822 Canvas Print

Silk gown with a woven sprinkle motif of an oval with circle, high waist and short sleeves, ankle-length running skirt and trimmed along the hem and the puff sleeves trimmed with a trim of wrinkled satin. Model: short body with boat necks and three vertical coupe seams on either side. Split in the middle back with narrow baleen up to the waist and closure by means of cow that is strung through eight fested nesting holes on both sides. At the neck and at the waist a metal hook and eye. The rear parts together form a blunt window, which is supplemented with skewers to the side seam. The peeping sleeves are wrinkled on the head in the armhole - which is placed backwards - applied. The skirt is smoothly set at the front (a weaving width of 49.5 cm with violet-colored self-lace) and is also smooth on the back, except for 3.0 cm wrinkled on either side of the slit. It consists of four lanes (two of 49.5 cm and two of 25.0 cm with a self-edge). The whole thing is unlined. The fabric has a base woven in flat binding, on which an alternately to the right or left diagonally placed oval with twill that alternately at the top left or right is intersected by a circle consisting of dots of flottering threads. Decoration: above the hem and along the puff sleeves is an ornament of satin pointed oval-shaped trim, wrinkled on one side and reinforced all around with laiton thread so that it resembles a petal. It consists of two layers of different sizes, reinforced with a piece of tulle.
