Wine glass, anonymous, 1746 Canvas Print
Arched foot. The baluster-shaped trunk has four knots, a flat knot, and two air bubbles, one of which is elongated. The conical calyx has a rounded bottom. To the left of the family coats of arms a seated female figure (Fortuna (?)) with a cornucopia and a palm branch, on the right Mercy with bare breasts, two putti, a torch and a laurel wreath. Under the performance, in a symmetrical cartouche the city coat of arms of Rotterdam and the date DEN XI MEY 1746. On the other side of the glass a garden vase under a canopy with lambrequin. Along the mouth rim and the performances runs a band of rolling and sheetwork.
