A woman rests, sitting on a bundle of wood, under a plum tree, near a stream. She smokes a pipe and looks at a passing deer. Next to her are more bundles of wood, which in combination with her clothes suggests that she is from Ohara. Women from Ohara, near Kyoto, made a living collecting kindling. The deer makes her echer a representation of the lucky god Jurôjin. With three poems.
