Haori for a woman with a full-surface decoration of a depiction of an ox cart and two shell game boxes, in a nighttime landscape with flowers, water, rocks and pine motifs, the liner with a rooster crowing at dawn against a red background ; referring to parting at the Osaka border post, where lovers used to meet secretly. Sei Shonagon's Pillow Book: "There may be some who are deceived by the crowing of the rooster that falsely breaks the silence of the night, but that deception will not hold for the Osaka Border Post, where lovers have their rendezvous."
